Fall in Love with Bali

Are you Bali bound or perhaps planning your next destination? Whether your idea of a perfect holiday is adrenaline filled with swinging high above the jungle or relaxed while sipping cocktails in your private villa-Bali will offer just about anything to make it a memorable vacation! Bali is not a place just to see, but rather to be felt and experienced. I know you will fall in love with the Balinese charm just as I did! So, I am very excited to share my travel experience below and recommend some of the best places to stay and must do excursions that made my Bali trip amazing!

Where to Stay

We had the incredible opportunity to experience 3 unique resorts in different regions of Bali! Each place we stayed offered a unique experience with its own vibe and identity and no place was too far of a drive away! We started our trip in the fishing village of Jimbaran then moved to the center of Ubud (the heart of Bali and my personal favorite), and ended our trip in lively Seminyak!

Jimbaran: Jamahal Private Resort and Spa

We loved everything about this resort from the moment we were picked up from the airport to the refreshing welcome drink we were given on arrival! It was the absolute perfect start to our holiday and it really went above our expectations! We stayed in the spacious and luxurious Spa Pool Villa and it was so beautiful that we didn’t leave our room during the stay. We had our own butler catering to our every ask (they even offered to take photos for us whenever we wanted), a large pool with views into the waterfall garden and a large living room leading to the connecting spa suite. It was hard to believe this was all inside our villa! To top it off, there was so much privacy that we never even saw any other guests. I want to take a moment to compliment the wonderful staff at this property who showed us true Balinese hospitality!

As for food, we are now a fan of Indonesian food thanks to Jamahal’s extensive authentic menu where you can have everything delivered to the comfort of your villa! We were treated to a romantic candlelit dinner setup inside our villa by the pool and it was decorated with flowers and candles! Given this is an adults only resort, they are very good at setting the mood for a romantic experience!

Can you believe this beautiful garden was INSIDE our villa? Needless to say we spent our whole day relaxing in the beauty of our private oasis.

One of our favorite experiences here was the world class SPA! We had the couples massage and we were left feeling so relaxed, it was hands down the best massage we ever had and we have been all over the world! Thanks to their incredible therapists! I also highly recommend pampering yourself further by requesting one of their famous fresh flower baths for an experience so unique to Bali!

Lastly, there is even a beach club with gorgeous views of the sea and fishing village! Jamahal and ibizainbali have partnered together to provide the guests of Jamahal fully serviced VIP access! So if you manage to somehow leave the comfort of your villa, be sure to check out this truly unique activity offered by the resort!

Ubud: Desa Visesa

Thinking back to our amazing stay at Visesa, I feel like already planning my trip back! We had a warm welcome by their amazing staff that were always ready to assist us with a smile on their face! We stayed in a gorgeous pool villa that oozed the authenticity of the Balinese architecture! You can choose to dine in one of their 3 onsite restaurants or in the privacy and comfort of your villa with round the clock in villa dining! I recommend experiencing a bit of both to get the full experience here!

One of my favorite parts of this resort has got to be their extravagant and picture perfect floating breakfast! You get to choose what you want served in it and they deliver it right in your villa pool! And to our surprise, they even decorated our entire pool with fresh flowers!! Needless to say I smelled amazing after my breakfast!

The entire resort is surrounded by rice paddy fields, the famous backdrop that calls everyone to this beautiful island of the gods! We had a great time exploring the property; it felt like we were tucked away in a secluded land! They have many Balinese-Hindu traditions and cultural experiences to choose from so you will always have something to look forward to!

As for dining, I want to take a moment to rave about our unforgettable dinner of the chef tasting menu at their Lumbung restaurant, it’s situated right by a waterfall and a river! And of course, I can’t forget their breakfast at the Lesung Restaurant with a view of the rice paddies which blew us away, we had a two hour long breakfast trying their vast selection and just enjoying the serene setting we were in!

Seminyak: The Amala

Excellent location and friendly staff will make your vacation here a great experience! The Amala is tucked away on a busy street and is only minutes walking distance from all the shops and restaurants that make the Seminyak region so lively! We stayed in the spa villa and the courtyard style layout was beautiful, we were pampered in luxury in every way!

The amenities felt like a world class stay and the staff goes above and beyond to cater to your every request! They even set up a picture perfect floating breakfast right inside our villa! The breakfast menu is extensive and very vegan friendly! We almost ordered half the menu and everything was so delicious that breakfast became the best time of the day for us!

You absolutely must try their SPA, its pure bliss! I recommend their traditional Balinese massage, you can feel all your stress melt away and you are transported to a gentle pace of life. You can tell this place strives for perfection and they definitely made it a memorable stay for us!
