Overview

Aruba is an island off the coast of South America known for its endless sunshine, turquoise waters, and plenty of adventure! Whether you are celebrating a special occasion, taking your family on a much needed vacation, or just looking to getaway to somewhere memorable, Aruba has something to offer that will please just about anyone! We had the pleasure of spending 4 days on the island at the beautiful Hilton Aruba and I must say that our stay here was the best part of our trip. I am so excited to share our experience at paradise and why I am already looking at flights to go back to the very unique Hilton property. After all, where else can you find families of Iguanas walking along the resort pathways and colorful Macaws hanging in the tree along the pool, sometimes even speaking to you!

Accommodation

We absolutely loved every minute in our king ocean view Aruba tower room featuring a perfectly positioned balcony for two with views of the sparkling Caribbean Sea, tall swaying palm trees, and two lively pools down below! Our bed was so comfy and the bathroom featured terry plush bath robes, granite vanity and signature Coco Aloe bath products.

Dining

Sometimes your dining choices can be the highlight of your trip! We have many memorable evenings where my husband and I looked at each other with awe at the beauty of the island while enjoying a savory meal at one of many Hilton restaurants onsite! Especially after a day of exciting activities, there is really no better way to wind down the evening.

Sunset Grille is the property’s signature steak house, and quite popular around the island too! It’s open for dinner only and features indoor and outdoor seating with a very romantic atmosphere and views of the lush tropical gardens and of course the breathtaking sunset! Tasty Caribbean cocktails and perfectly cooked steak is not to be missed, in fact some of the best steak and mashed potatoes we have ever had!

After dinner we headed next door to the lively Mira Solo bar for some live music and dancing! My favorite part was sitting outside by the warm fireplace and listening to the cascading waterfalls, a perfect way to relax, unwind, and let loose!

We started every morning with a hearty full American breakfast and unlimited mimosas at the Laguna Restaurant perfectly positioned next to a tropical freshwater lagoon with coy fishes! Our meal plan included both the buffet and a la carte options, this way we got to sample everything! It’s worth waking up early to get here, because it definitely gets busy fast!

After hours in the sun and the water, we definitely worked up an appetite! It was so nice to head just a few steps right off the beach to the Gilligan’s Seafood Shack. This is your beachside casual dining elevated with fresh local ingredients as you experience the taste of the island cuisine. Sipping a tropical cocktail in this bright and airy setting is the perfect way to have a chill lunch without being too far away from the beach or the pool. I especially loved that it was completely shaded and still offered beautiful views!

Pools & Beach

Pool, beach, palapa, REPEAT! Doesn’t that sound like a perfect day in an island paradise? The Hilton Aruba has two large exciting pools to choose from! One that is great for families and offers fun activities like volleyball and trivia and another one that has a quieter more relaxing vibe. You will even find hammocks where you can sway to the island breeze during the day or stargaze at night time.

One of the best highlights of staying at this beautiful property has to be the stretch of soft white sand beach with that turquoise crystal clear water we all dream of! Palm Beach is actually known as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, we experienced some unforgettable sunsets here! Be sure to book a beach palapa in advance so you can have plenty of shade and choose the best spot to spend the day!

Unforgettable Experiences

For a day of ultimate relaxation, I highly recommend booking a spa treatment at the Eforea Spa! From the moment you step in, you are transported to a tranquil state of mind with the tropical fauna and soothing music in the outdoor lounge. We had a much needed absolutely cooling Aloe Vera couple’s massage which was perfect after a day in the sun!

The Hilton Aruba has their own sunset concierge, one of the many aspects that make this property so unique! I highly recommend taking advantage of their many arrangements to take experiencing the famous Aruba sunset to the next level! We decided to book a romantic sunset beach dinner, needless to say this was the highlight of our entire trip! The setup was beautiful and just steps away from the sea with our toes in the sand, and all our meals were absolutely delicious! Just when the sun completely sets over the horizon, the sky immediately lights up in hues of purple and pink! Being the only ones on the beach dining to this view is really something you must experience to believe just how magical it is!

Summary

I never expected to love Aruba as much as I did, and now I find myself dreaming of returning back! Everything about our stay at the Hilton Aruba was wonderful, check in process was easy and the property grounds are absolutely stunning with plenty of things to do to keep you occupied for days! It’s really the perfect mix of fun and relaxation that we all seek when booking that dreamy vacation getaway! The resort is extremely spacious, designed in a way that will make you feel like you are on an exciting and special holiday! We felt very safe with the COVID protocols in place and felt that the staff went above and beyond to ensure our safety and address all our requests with a big smile. The amazing service here is really what enhanced our stay and why we love staying at the Hilton properties worldwide!
