Overview:
A tropical getaway to paradise at the luxury Four Seasons brings to light all the elements that makes the island of Nevis so special! It’s actually located in the Caribbean and a part of the Atlantic Ocean that falls in the West Indies! The island is blessed with geothermal energy thanks to its potentially active volcano, this means you can bathe in the healing waters of the hot springs! There is also a population of wild monkeys, wake up early and you can find them roaming the grounds of the property! The small 36 square mile island has so much raw beauty and feels so serene and untouched with no large cruise ship ports or even a building taller than a coconut tree. I am so excited to be sharing my experience here!
The Journey of Getting Here:
We arrived by international flight to the main island of St. Kitts, the views from the flight as we approached the mainland was simply so breathtaking and provided a glimpse into the excitement to come ahead! Once we landed, we were whisked away by a scenic 15 min country side car ride to the Christophe Harbour where our Four Seasons speedboat and crew were waiting for us! This definitely felt like a VIP arrival, on board we were handed chilled water and felt the cool mist of the ocean as we jetted away to our island oasis! We arrived directly at the Four Seasons dock and were greeted with warm smiles and sunshine!
Accommodation:
Experience laid back and luxurious Caribbean living from a variety of accommodations to choose from, these are all nestled among the vast vibrant tropical grounds of the resort!
Suites
We stayed in a beautiful 1 bedroom + living room suite featuring a large spacious balcony facing the pool and the ocean surrounded by tall coconut trees swaying to the gentle island breeze!
The amazing staff here went above and beyond to personalize our stay! They created this special pastry masterpiece inspired by one of my Bali trip Instagram photos and also included some yummy treats!
My favorite part has got to be the bathroom with marble floors and the special romantic rose petal bath set up for us on arrival!
Villas
Let’s jump rooms to the luxury villas ranging from 1 to 7 bedrooms and featuring large outdoor spaces with a private plunge pool! Staying here is a real dream come true and perfect for couples, families, and large groups! Blending elevated comforts of home with timeless Caribbean touches, we absolutely loved the Pinney’s Beach Villa which is close to the beach and resort amenities. Villa guests also get their own golf cart to get around the property, this was definitely a very fun way to explore and feel the island breeze!
Our Pinney’s Beach Villa also included a detached cottage right by the courtyard and featured an outdoor garden shower. How absolutely cute is this!
Majority of my time was spent lounging by the pool and getting some work done during the day. Of course I took frequent breaks that included a cool dip in our private plunge pool with a view of the Nevis Peak and the tropical gardens that surround it. It was pure blissful paradise, and I never wanted to leave!
Restaurants & Dining:
Breakfast, lunch, AND dinner with a view? Could this vacation get any better!? There are a total of 3 restaurants, 2 bars, in room dining, and pool and beach side dining options to choose from!
We especially loved starting our morning at The Dune beachside restaurant with a hearty breakfast, we ordered more items than there was space on the table! We sat right by the beach as we dined and loved listening to the gentle ocean waves of the calm morning, you could even see the neighboring island of St.Kitts off in the distance!
For a very special experience, why not have the chef come to YOUR villa and cook you a delicious lobster dinner grilled on your patio? Well, this is exactly what we did when we couldn’t get ourselves to leave the comforts of our villa!
Amenities:
Infinity Pools
You can find me lounging by one of their 3 infinity edge pools facing the beachfront and with the Nevis Peak volcano as the backdrop! My favorite pool has got to be the oversized Limin Pool lined with bright yellow umbrellas! The staff was excellent here and so attentive, they handed us a cold scented towel before we even asked for one!
The adults only Soca pool was right in front of our suite and we loved swimming here for a refreshing morning dip after breakfast!
Beach
Can you imagine a better day here than relaxing on the beach with your toes in the soft sand and a delicious tropical drink in your hand? Just beyond the pool is the Pinney’s beach lined with comfy lounge chairs and the beautiful turquoise Caribbean Sea perfect for jumping right in! There are also plenty of water activities to choose from, such as canoeing and snorkeling! We even saw a sting ray while walking on the bridge!
Cabanas
Right by the main Limin Pool are the private beach cabanas, perfect for relaxing after some swimming! There’s an indoor seating area and outdoor lounge chairs, but my favorite way to spend the afternoon here was gently swaying on our hammock under the palm trees! It’s a great way to get away from the crowds and be in your own little private oasis!
Spa
On our last day we treated ourselves to the ultimate relaxation treatment, the signature Nevisian Massage! We opted to have our massage in one of the beachside cabanas where we could hear the gentle waves and feel the island breeze! I felt absolutely refreshed and rejuvenated before our long flight back home.
Alternatively you can also choose to have your massage in one of the absolutely adorable individual treatment cottages set amongst a tropical garden! Afterwards, why not take a dip in the hot-water pool or Japanese-inspired cold-plunge pool next to views of the famous Nevis Peak. The spa here is really an experience not to be missed!
18-Hole Golf Course
The Robert Trent Jones golf course is beautifully lined by tall palm trees and plenty of greenery, you may even find some friendly monkeys if you go early in the morning! I myself am not a golf player, but I definitely wanted to give it a try after seeing the backdrop of Nevis Peak and ponds filled with ducks! The best part is that its just a few steps away from our suite and a fun golf cart ride away from our villa!
Summary:
The attention to detail here really blew us away and made our stay so special! The staff knew us by name and went above and beyond to meet all our requests! The Four Seasons app features a 24 hour chat so someone is always on standby to assist you no matter where you are on the property, it’s like having your own butler! Four seasons Nevis is truly a tropical oasis perfectly situated on a beautiful dreamy island with lots of Caribbean ambiance and exceptional service! Prior to our trip, our friends and family had never heard of Nevis, but now it’s high up on their bucket list! I only wish we had more time to explore, but I know we will be back to experience more from this blissful paradise!
